Problems with Dragon file server
Mar. 10, 2008 by jtaft
Over the past several days, we’ve been having stability issues with the Dragon file server. These problems are causing Dragon to restart, causing a temporary loss in connectivity to the server. We are working with Microsoft to fix this problem. At the same time, we are moving Dragon data to more robust storage to improve reliability in the long term. During the data migration process, we will be contacting departments to let them know that their Dragon data will be briefly unavailable.
As part of the effort to alleviate the immediate stability problems, we will be replacing the memory in the server between 5:30 and 6:00 PM this evening. We will need to take down the server during this time, so please make sure to close any documents opened off Dragon before 5:30 PM.

For those of us using Macintosh computers, when Dragon goes down, we have to wait a long time for our icon-enabled link to Dragon to work again. I end up calling someone to remind me of how to do this. Can you post the instructions for remapping Dragon to the Mac computer?
Thanks!
Hi Karen,
Here are some instructions on how to map to Dragon from a mac.
1. Make sure you are in the Finder. You can change to the finder by clicking the square smiley face on the left side of your dock.
2. Click Go->Connect to Server from the menus on the top of your screen.
3. Type smb://dragon and click connect
4. Login with your credentials and then choose the folder you want to mount. For example, I would choose ITSHome to get to my personal jhammond folder.
Hope this helps!
John
