Phishing E-mails

Recently we have seen an increase in phishing emails that ask the user to send passwords by email. One of them has a subject line: “checks the size of inboxes” and the other “Dear: Web Mail Owner”. Please delete these emails and DO NOT RESPOND to them.

We have reconfigured our system to handle such emails in the future, but once in a while such phishing emails bypass the systems that we have established to catch them. Please remember that ITS will never ask you to communicate your password in an email, so always delete such emails.

If you have any questions, please contact your desktop support staff or call the ITS Helpdesk at Ext. 4000.
