ITS encountered several unforeseen problems during the emergency maintenance and many services were interrupted for extended periods. We have been working through the night to recover them and expect to have most or all service up in the next few hours. Unfortunately desktop backups were affected and did not occur overnight as scheduled.
We are continuing to work on system problems. Some services have been intermittent. We are working on restoring key services to function for open of business on Friday, June 25. A follow up notice will be forthcoming.
ITS needs to perform urgent system maintenance at 10PM tonight, June 24th. This process is generally non-disruptive. ITS resolved the desktop backup (Tivoli Storage Manager) issue. Scheduled backups resumed on Monday evening (June 21) and have continued to run uninterrupted. If you are having trouble with your backup since Monday evening, contact your Desktop Support Specialist.
We are experiencing problems with the voice recognition system (x3700) this morning. It is working intermittently. The telecom company is working to solve the problem now.
Faculty and Staff on campus: The desktop backup system (Tivoli Storage Manager) is offline and no backups have occurred since Saturday, June 19. ITS is aggressively working with the vendor to get the problem resolved as soon as possible. We will keep you posted.
