The main issue which caused today’s telephone outage has been resolved. However, as we work through lingering problems individuals may experience brief interruptions in their telephone service. Aug 26 Phone Outage Update 2

The phone system is now operational. The technicians are doing some fine tuning to adjust some display issues. There may be a brief interruption again prior to 1:00 PM while the technicians complete this work. If you continue to have trouble after 1:30 PM, please call WesTel at 685-2022.

Power Outage – August 23

Beginning at 4:30 pm on Monday, August 23, there were power outages that affected various parts of the campus. These outages were more prevalent than previously understood. While the data center remained online and no services were interrupted, some areas may have experienced outages to switches which would have interrupted communication.

August 14 Follow Up

The maintenance on August 14 went quite a bit beyond the scheduled window. While ITS planned for extra time and performed preparatory steps, there were issues that were beyond our control. We brought services back online as quickly as we were able. We know an extended interruption is inconvenient and appreciate your patience and understanding.
