Some students have expressed concern about a backup plan for communication in a true emergency. Wesleyan has the ConnectED system in place for that reason and it has performed exceptionally well. While we understand that Internet outage is a significant disruption and inconvenience, it is not an approved reason for use of the ConnectED system to communicate with you. We have been using every means at our disposal to do so including word of mouth.
