This afternoon at 2:00PM ITS received reports of wireless access problems surfacing around campus. We were still researching the root cause of last night’s issue and were able to isolate it to a problem with our wireless controller hardware. We were able to address the problem within an hour.
ITS continues to be in contact with our network consultants to prevent further disruption.
Please note that this was not an “Internet” outage as has been misunderstood by many. The University’s Internet connection continued uninterrupted. This was a hardware issue on our local network that disrupted connectivity and prevented connection to our wireless network.
