Internet Bandwidth Increased
With the Help from Connecticut Education Network, we have increased our internet bandwidth from 100 Mb to 150 Mb temporarily. This should improve the network performance.

Currently, our network is experiencing capacity issues because faculty and staff are connecting to our network from their homes. Many are using VPN (Virtual Private Network). This adds tremendous loads to the network and we srongly encourage you to NOT use it unless you absolutely need to. You Don

A phishing email addressed to Wesleyan Account Holders has been circulating. This is NOT a legitimate email. Wesleyan filters are now catching it. Google Apps users should be aware and move the message to Junk. Please remember that Wesleyan IT will never solicit information from you via email about your account and password.

Due to a hardware failure on the telephone switch in Exley Science Center, there are several offices on campus with no telephone service. We are working to get this resolved as quickly as possible. We will update everyone once we learn more about who is affected and when the service will be restored.
