ITS System Announcements

The following list of software will be unavailable Wednesday August 6th from 7:00 AM – Noon.
SAS, Stata, Matlab, HLM, Lisrel, Gauss, and Repec
The server’s operating system will be upgraded and logins will not be permitted.

We will be performing the following network maintenance on Sunday, Aug 3rd at 8:00am.
1) Install new Internet gateways to allow for future increases in our Internet connection speed.
2) Upgrade our wireless networking controllers.
During the installation and upgrade connectivity to the Internet and the Air Wes network will be disrupted for no more than 30 minutes.

Wikis (wiki.wesleyan.edu)will be unavailable Wednesday Aug 6th 7:30-8:00 AM for an upgrade.

Envi/IDL, Mathematica and RATS software will be unavailable July 30th, 7AM-Noon. The server hosting these software packages (chloe) will undergo an operating system upgrade to redhat linux AS5. Hence, no logins will be permitted during this period.

Wesfiles will be upgraded to a new version of the WesFiles web interface on Tuesday, July 22nd, 5-8 AM.

WesFiles will be unavailable Tuesday, July 15th from 6-8am for routine maintenance.

We continue to receive phishing E-mails asking the users to respond with their passwords and date of births. Please delete these emails at once and NEVER respond to them. ITS will never ask the users to send their passwords by E-mail. We are working to filter these messages so they do not reach the users.

The database back up procedures for today July 1st failed to complete, and are rescheduled for tomorrow morning July 2nd, 5:30-7:00 AM. ePortfolio and Blackboard will be unavailable during this period.
