There is an electrical shutdown scheduled for SATURDAY, JANUARY 17, 2009 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The following buildings will be impacted: Fauver Field Residences North College South College 255 High Street President The data center will not be affected.
On Friday, January 16 between 9p and 10p we will be replacing our hardware that runs our Dragon file server with a virtual server. We will be failing over from our primary network load balancer to the secondary at 5PM this evening to implement a software upgrade on the load balancer. The switch should be transparent to users.
We are currently working on upgrading Dragon to new hardware to address recuring stability issues. We anticipate having Dragon upgraded by Tuesday, Jan 20th. Until then, we will be restarting Dragon every night at 7PM to improve stability in the short term. Files on Dragon will be unavailable for approximately 20 minutes during the restart.
Jan 13 – At 7:00 PM Dragon will be restarted for system maintenance. Files on Dragon will be unavailable for approx 20 minutes.
Simple Posted Message On Tuesday January 13th between 5:30 and 7:30 AM, we will be upgrading several Oracle Portfolio Applications. There will be a brief interruption (circa 15 mins) for users logged in to condor on THU 1/8/2008. This maintenance is required in preparation for Saturdays maintenance work.
Dragon will be restarted on January 5th at 5:15 PM to address problems openinng files from the server. We anticipate that the server will be back up in about 20 minutes.
On Saturday, January 10, ITS will be performing major system maintenance that will require all systems to be down from 7 am until 1 pm. This includes all file access, email, and web services.
